2 Natural Hair Masks that will Boost Your Hair Growth

Apr 12, 2020 | Natural Routines, Topics

If 30 years ago Mother Nature gave an amazing gift, it was my hair.

My first picture showing up my growing curls it was taken when I was 1 year old. At the age of three, my hair was already very long.

All my childhood I hated my hair. I wanted to have straight hair like most of my girlfriends had. It was a struggle for my mom to brush my tangled curls. It was a burden for me to deal every day with pain when my hair was untangled.

This hardship lasted a long time, until my teenage years when I started loving my hair so much and I was trying out a lot of routines to make it grow faster and stronger.

Same it’s today, I love my hair and I take care of it. It’s not easy and it takes time and patience.

In this article, I would love to share with you my favorite hair mask and a few other natural routines I use to strengthen and grow my hair faster naturally.

You don’t have to purchase all the ingredients I mention below at once.

Usually, I have them in my kitchen always, so I combine all of them, but the mask will work even if you choose to start with only three ingredients. For better results use organic products if you can.

I will share with you two different masks for dry and greasy scalp.

Natural hair mask for dry scalp

Ingredients:

1 egg
2 Tbs of castor oil
1 Tbs of coconut oil
1 Tbs of olive oil
1 Tbs of avocado oil
1 Tbs of hemp oil
1 Tbs of apple cider vinegar
Few drops of Vitamin E oil (optional)
Few drops of Vitamin A oil (optional)
2 drops Lavender/Peppermint essential oil for fragrance (optional)

Natural hair mask for greasy scalp
Ingredients:
1 egg
¼ / ½ cup of strawberries depending on your hair length(optional)
1 Tbs of apple cider vinegar /1 Tbs natural lemon juice
2 Tbs of natural Aloe Vera gel
1 tsp of baking soda

Like I said choose at least a couple of oils and an egg, depending on your hair volume. I am referring to those with dry scalp.

How to use it:

  • Mix them all into a glass bowl preferable.
  • Apply it on your scalp massaging very well for 10 minutes.
  • After applying it cover your hair with a shower cap.
  • Leave it on for a couple of hours or overnight.
  • Wash your hair with lukewarm water for removing the mask, using a natural shampoo.
  • Rinse it well, then apply shampoo again until your hair is very clean.
  • After cleanse apply natural hair conditioning for moisturizing and rinse very well.
  • Brush your hair when you are done cleaning.

I recommend you apply the mask on wet hair for better effects.

Apply it at least once a week. After one month you’ll see the results.

Give it a chance and be patient, you’ll see improvements.

You’ll notice a longer and stronger hair and less breakage.

Other natural routines I use :

  • For shinning apply few drops of apple cider vinegar on your hair while rinsing. Do not worry the scent will go away fast.
  • For defining your curls, I use aloe vera gel straight from the plant. After you get out of shower apply on your wet hair a little bit of aloe vera juice. It replaces your hair spray, hair foam and curl definer.
  • Spray a little bit of natural scent. You can use a small glass spray bottle. Add in it three drops of organic essential oil, whichever you like and fill it up with water. Spray your hair with it while wet or after it is dried.

I hope you’ll enjoy taking care of hair and you’ll discover what works better for you!

If you have other natural hair routines, you are welcome to share it with us!

Take care of your hair naturally!
